I'm sure you've figured out this site is still in a stage of development. Hopefully it will stay that way for years. Content may be edited or deleted in response to a reader's comment. Change is good to me!

To be honest, I'm not certain I will devote the time and energy necessary for a response-worthy, thought-provoking, entertaining blog. I'm offering no excuses; that's just me being up front. Instead, I'm hoping to provide a few little essays from my seat on the sidelines. They'll be on a range of topics—some serious, others not so much, but knowing me, I'm guessing most will have a little humor.

Don't think of this as a blog, but as a slower, slightly more formal slog which might instill your desire to respond. I welcome and thank you for your comments, or suggestions.
